In the years after the First World War, and the post-1916 conflict in Ireland, those who had been injured and their families looked for support from the British and Irish governments. Records relating to these pension claims are now being made available on line. As well as providing an important resource for family history researchers these records provide an insight into social conditions in the first half and the twentieth century.
