The Antrim and Down Branch of the Western Front Association, in conjunction with the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland, is holding a half-day conference looking at various aspects of the aftermath of the First World War.
The conference will be held on Thursday 9 May 2019 from 2 – 4.30 pm. Note this is a change from the advertised programme.
The speakers will include:
Dr William Butler (University of Kent) on the British army mutinies of 1919.
Dr Mario Draper (University of Kent) on the Connaught Rangers in India, 1920.
Dr Stefanie Linden (Maastricht University) on shell shock during the First World War and after.
Dr Patricia Marsh (PRONI) on the flu epidemic in Ulster in 1919.
