December 2017 Newsletter Issue No 25
Welcome to the Branch December Newsletter
As you will see, there's been a great deal going on and more to come in the future, In September we had our very own Alan Atkinson,Alan's talk was deferred from August due to ill health, now looking fit again – and indeed very dapper, Alan`s presentation was Propaganda – the British Way, and in October we had a presentation by Branch Regular Murray McVey –( almost exactly one hundred years to the day - was on The Battle of Broodseinde, 4 October 1917.) November's meeting saw another debutant, but no stranger to Branch Meetings Arthur Lacey, a retired GP from Mansfield, it was apt for Arthur to make the Royal Army Medical Corps in the Great War his subject talk, December's Meeding by Professor John Derry will be covered in the next Newsletter, his talk being 'Haig Reconsidered', not forgetting also in December our Vice Chair (and WFA Trustee) Mark with WFA Chairman Colin Wagstaff and other members went on a Battlefields trip recently, led by well-known to the Branch Historian and Regular speaker Rob Thompson to the battlefields of Ypres and Messines.
