'Everyday Life of the Intelligence Soldier: Corporal Vince Schurhoff 1916-1918' with Dr Jim Beach

Dr Jim Beach will give a presentation on the life of the intelligence soldier. 

 

Corporal Vince Schürhoff came from a Birmingham business family that was German on his father’s side.

In 1914 he joined the British army in 1914 and served with 16 Warwicks. In 1916 he was seconded to signals intelligence work and later transferred to the Royal Engineers (Signal Service).
