'Nobody's Heroes, the 8th Battn East Lancs in the Great War' by Stephen Baker
08 Sep

Although the talk is about a Lancashire Battn., the presentation gives an impression of life in and out of the trenches for any Service Battalion of the Great War, irrespective of their origins. Fully illustrated it tells of the war from the soldier's viewpoint making use of documentary evidence, including letters, sound archives, artefacts and poetry. The talk includes unusual perspectives of the war, highlights the experience of battle and makes links to the wider war.

Stephen will be selling copies of his book.
