Nigel has been speaking on local history topics and other related subjects for over 35 years. His interest and love of local, family and military history stems from his family and teachers at school. He is a member of many organisations including the Western Front Association, the Gallipoli Association, Fire Heritage Network UK and several local history groups. He has written a large number of articles on different subjects for many diverse publications including some published in Greece and Belgium and continues to help museums, authors, the media with varied and fascinating projects and latterly has and is dealing with a large number of family and other historical enquiries whilst researching for a number of books he is writing.
Nigel graduated from the University of Birmingham with an MA in British First World War Studies.
