1083 Sergent René Louis Bellevret, 153 RI.
Born at Lancomme on 13 January 1891, René was in the final months of his compulsory military service when war broke out. Serving in Alsace from the earliest days, he was killed in action at Wittersdorf on 19 August 1914. René is now buried in the Necropole Nationale at Altkirch.
