Title:
"Douglas Haig and victory in 1918" by Prof Gary Sheffield
When:
Sat, 13 October 2012 02:30PM - 05:00PM
Where:
Former Chapel (Arts: Quad South), York St John Co - York
Category:
Yorkshire Branch

Description

In this lecture the role of Douglas Haig during the Hundred Days will be examined. Was he, as some claim, the 'accidental victor', largely irrelevant to the successful outcome, with the key decisions being taken by Foch above him and his Army commanders below him? Or did he have a more positive role?

Both members and non-members welcome.
