Born at Moulins-Cherier on 16 July 1891, Pierre was already serving his compulsory military service at the time of the outbreak of war and he saw action as early as 8 August 1914. Serving for his entire war in the Vosges mountains, Pierre was killed in action at La Fontanelle, Vosges on 8 July 1915.
