Jäger Johann Greissing, 2 Rgt d Tir K J.
From Hörbranz, Austria, Johann was born on 1 April 1888. A cabinet-maker in civilian life, he was a recalled reservist in July 1914 and was a participant in the earliest battles against the Russian Army in August and September 1914. He was wounded in action in Galicia on 18 October 1914 and succumbed to his injuries in a field hospital two days later. Johann has no recorded grave.
