Oberjäger Edwin Spiegel, Ldst Inf-Rgt Nr 2.
A South Tyrolean innkeeper before the war, Edwin was born on 5 April 1877. Called into full time service in mid-1915, he served mainly on the Italian front throughout the war. He was wounded in the very last days of the war. Edwin died of his wounds at Palmanova, Italy on 2 November and he was buried nearby.
