T4/174290 Pte Harry Town, Army Service Corps
A mill-worker from Addingham, Yorkshire, Harry initially enlisted into the army in November 1915 and served on the Western Front from February 1916.
He was wounded by shellfire whilst working with the 70th Siege Battery, RGA in August 1916 and invalided to the UK on Boxing Day 1916.
Harry contracted pneumonia whilst in Netley Hospital and died, aged 23, on 19 March 1917. He is buried in St.Peter's Churchyard, Addingham.
19 March 1917 died of pneumonia.
