Are you involved in a First World War community research project? Are you interested in finding out more about the huge variety of historical records that are available to researchers?

Join Gateways to the First World War for a free event bringing together archives professionals and researchers to share advice on using national, local and online collections to discover more about the First World War. Gather hints and tips on accessing archive material and learn about some of the fascinating records that have survived and can be used to deepen our understanding of wartime lives.

Speakers include: Prof. Mark Connelly (University of Kent), Dr George Hay (The National Archives), Dr Chris Kempshall (University of Kent) and Sarah Paterson (Imperial War Museums).

Book your free place here.

The event is aimed at members of community project groups but we welcome anyone with an interest in First World War research.

If you have any questions about the event please contact Zoë Denness at gateways@kent.ac.uk.

We have a small budget to assist with travel expenses for members of community project groups attending this event. Please let us know if you would like us to contact you about this.
