crossIt is with great sadness that I must inform members of the passing of two Western Front Association members over the Christmas period.

Jack Horsfall passed away on Christmas Eve. Jack was well known to many within the Association both as a gifted speaker and author. Jack was a great authority on many aspects of the Great War, especially 'The Devil's Own' B/210 Burnley Battery. He will be sadly missed. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

Duncan Black passed away on Boxing Day morning at his home address. Duncan was the stalwart Vice-Chairman of the Somerset Branch. He in later life became a published author, and was an archivist working at the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton. Duncan was also one of the leading authorities on all aspect of the R.N.A.S. during the Great War. He will be missed by all the member of the Somerset Branch.
