Hitler's First War

This talk will look at the men of Hitler's military unit, and challenge the idea that his Great War experiences 'made' Adolf Hitler. The presentation is based on the speaker’s book, ‘Hitler's First War: Adolf Hitler, the Men of the List Regiment, and the First World War’. This award winning book has been published in nine languages.

Thomas Weber is Professor of History and International Affairs as well as the founding Director of the Centre of Global Security and Governance at the University of Aberdeen. His research and teaching expertise lies in European, international, and global political history from the 19th century to the present.
