In March 1918 the German Empire mustered its last reserves of strength and launched an all-out attack designed to break the Western Front and win the war. The British Army stood in the path of the oncoming storm. The events of the first ten days of the offensive represented perhaps the greatest military crisis faced by the Britain in the entire First World War. This lecture tells the story of the battle and its decisive consequences.
