Dr Vivien Newman, an expert on women's experiences during the First World War makes a welcome return to Wessex Branch WFA to talk on her latest project “Children at War 1914-1918". Viv’s research includes English, French and German primary and secondary sources across a range of ages, from birth to 17 years and multi-national viewpoints. This talk may well alter perceptions of what it was like to be young in the First World War. Viv’s research has been published in a book of the same title but sub titled “ What was done to us was wrong!”
