Giants in the Sky : The Zeppelin in World War One - David Skillen
19 Jul

David Skillen describes himself as a “consumer of history” and is an engaging, animated and entertaining professional speaker.  His talk, “Giants in the Sky – The Zeppelin in World War One”, tells the story of how the people of Britain saw huge, silver, cigar shaped objects flying across the country, seemingly at will, delivering death and destruction in the first strategic bombing campaign in history.  It will show how they were built and flown, and how the Royal Navy, Royal Flying Cops and later Royal Air Force defended Britain against them.

Western Front Association Members and non-members are equally welcome. We ask for a modest £4 donation on the door. Any new visitors will be assured of an welcoming and friendly atmosphere among a group of like-minded enthusiasts.
