'A War for Democracy? The British Empire of the First World War' with Professor Sir Hew Strachan FBA

Professor Sir Hew Strachan FRSE FRHistS has had a distinguished career as a military historian, particularly of, though not exclusively so, of the First World War. He is professor of international relations at the University of St Andrews having previously been the Chichele Professor of the History of War at All Souls College, Oxford and having taught at his alma mater in Corpus Christi, Cambridge. He is a Patron of The Western Front Association.
