ONLINE: Exploring the estate: teasing out the meanings of the architecture and horticulture of the Imperial War Graves Commission
27 Jan

The presentation will be live and online.

The architecture and horticultural of the Imperial (now Commonwealth) War Graves Commission inspires awe and wonder at its beauty. In this talk by Prof Mark Connelly, the design details inherent in the ‘house style’ of the Commission are explored with particular reference to the signature facets of both the Principal and Assistant Architects, and the cultural inheritance they brought to their work for the Commission.

Members wishing to participate will need to register: details of how to register will be circulated via The Western Front Association's newsletter 'Trench Lines'. If you are not a subscriber to 'Trench Lines' please subscribe now.
