It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of founder member number 12, Teddy Noyes
A few words from Jane Backhouse (former chair of London Branch, and Milton Keynes branch)
Teddy Noyes was a founder member (number 12) of our illustrious association and a branch chairman for many many years in Cambridgeshire.
She was part of the driving force behind the development of the 11th November service at the Cenotaph, now such a wonderful part of our community and legacy, and once part of Flanders Tours.
Teddy died peacefully on the 28th April.
Her private funeral service is on the 22nd May at 9.30 am. in Bedfordshire.
If any members wish to raise a glass or a cuppa or simply a memory then, I’d love to hear from you. I’m collating a tribute for this awesome and unique lady for the next Bulletin.
Thank you for your time at this difficult time, as many have noted it marks the end of an era, part of the original story of The WFA
Jane Backhouse
(Formerly branch chair London and Milton Keynes branches and a proud retired trustee).
