The Royal Naval Division war memorial on Horse Guards Parade in London has been rededicated following restoration work.
The memorial commemorates members of the Royal Naval Division who fell during the First World War. Originally unveiled in 1925, it honours the Divisionʼs service on the Western Front and at Gallipoli.
The rededication ceremony took place on 13 November 2025 and was attended by representatives from the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.
The Royal Naval Division was formed in 1914 from Royal Navy and Royal Marine reservists and volunteers. The Division served with distinction throughout the war, particularly during the Gallipoli campaign and later on the Western Front in France and Belgium.

RND magazine available to WFA members
WFA members have access to a comprehensive archive of material on the Royal Naval Division through the RND magazine collection.
Between June 1997 and March 2003, Len Sellers produced and edited a quarterly magazine dedicated to the history of the Royal Naval Division, known as the 63rd (RN) Division from July 1916. The magazine ran to 24 issues, with a separate index for each set of eight issues.
The complete collection spans 2,443 pages and includes 581 photographs, 75 maps and 71 poems. Contributors include researchers and enthusiasts with a deep interest in this unique division.
