The Royal Naval Division war memorial on Horse Guards Parade in London has been rededicated following restoration work.

Commander Stew Kilby speaks at a service to mark 100 years since the unveiling of the Royal Naval Division memorial.

The memorial commemorates members of the Royal Naval Division who fell during the First World War. Originally unveiled in 1925, it honours the Divisionʼs service on the Western Front and at Gallipoli.

The rededication ceremony took place on 13 November 2025 and was attended by representatives from the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.

The Royal Naval Division was formed in 1914 from Royal Navy and Royal Marine reservists and volunteers. The Division served with distinction throughout the war, particularly during the Gallipoli campaign and later on the Western Front in France and Belgium.

A photo essay documenting the rededication ceremony is available on the Royal Navy website.
