The Women's Land Army in the Great War - a presentation with Helen Frost
Helen makes a welcome first visit to our branch with her presentation 'The Women's Land Army in the Great War'. Created in 1917, the Land Army helped with all aspects of agriculture and horticulture, but was disbanded in 1919. It was estimated that over 300,000 women had been working on the land but not all were members of the Women's Land Army.
