Is anyone able to confirm if this is a 14 inch or 16 inch rail gun. I have a photo which must have been in the possession of my Great Uncle (Major General Edward Henry Willis) which looks exactly like this stereoscope image. I would dearly love to know more. How many of these guns existed and where were they used on the battlefield?

The 14 inch rail gun 'Scene Shifter', the barrel was originally made for a Japanese destroyer.
