'The Doughboys 1917-18 - The American experience in WWI'. The talk is based upon the American battlefields of WWI and is illustrated with some of the 20,000 photographs Mike has taken since 2005, showing the battlefields as they are today.

In collaboration with Prof. Richard Holmes created the international photographic exhibition, 'Fields of Battle, Lands of Peace 14-18' which documented the Season 2023 96 of 128 Speakers List 23.1 battlefields as they are today and which was seen by over 12 million people in nine countries during 2014-2018. An accredited member of the Guild of Battlefield Guides, a member of the British Commission for Military History and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. In 2018 received a Masters Degree from Prof Gary Sheffield's War Studies course at the University of Wolverhampton with a dissertation on the manner in which aerial photography influenced the role of the RFC in WW1.
