'Ethnic Prisoners of War in German captivity' a talk by Thomas Mcloughlin

During the First World War the German Jihad Experiment led to the creation of the Halbmondlager (Half Moon Camp). A prisoner of War camp for Muslim and Ethnic Soldiers used as a secret weapon to try and win the war. This talk will explore the history of this camp but also why it is not more widely known.

Thomas Mcloughlin works at the National Army Museum and runs their programme of talks and lectures at the Museum. He is an officer in the British Army Reserve and has a Master’s in Public History.
