Padres On Parade - Military Chaplains In The Great War with Jonathan Nicholls
16 Mar

Jon Nicholls makes a welcome return to the branch to present what I’m sure will be a entertaining and informative talk about the role of military chaplains in WW1.

Military Chaplains supported the troops in many ways, not just the obvious spiritual guidance, but also on ethical matters and general pastoral care.

An ex-met police officer, Jon is renowned for his engaging and captivating talks, and I’m sure this one will be no different, drawing on his extensive experience of collecting first hand accounts from WW1 veteran's for over the last 40 yrs.

Members of the Western Front Association and non-members are equally welcome to attend. We ask for a modest £3 donation on the door to assist in covering room charges and speaker expenses. The Club's licensed bar is available for use by all attending our meetings.

Any new visitors will be assured of a welcoming and friendly atmosphere among a group of like-minded enthusiasts.
