Following the refurbishment of the Dragon Memorial in the autumn of 2024, undertaken by a local craftsman Monsieur Houbart, three branch members visited the site in the spring of 2025 to see for themselves how the finished work looked.
The Dragon now looks resplendent in a new coat of glossy red, and will hopefully be protected from the elements for some years to come.
During the statue's replacement there was a small amount of damage caused to the plinth. This has been repaired.
