‘Field Marshal Haig’s Influencers’ by Paul Clark.
11 Apr
Please note change of date, due to Easter weekend
This talk looks at the many factors affecting Haig’s actions during 1917; from the actions of allies, the French mutinies, the German withdrawal, and the improvement in artillery, to the less direct effect of submarines and German political actions.  Paul concludes with a summary that may raise doubts, in some, whether history had been fair to him.
