"German and other tanks -- "Vorsprung Durch Technik".
By Chris John.
Chris will give an overview of the German development of and use of tanks at Villers Brettoneux on 24th April 1918. Where might that development have led in different circumstances?
Chris John is the Vice-chair of Birmingham Branch WFA. A badged battlefield guide of the Guild of Battlefield Guides, Chris has a long interest in the Great War and has led many branch and other trips to the Western Front. He has an interest in the less well known aspects of the war hence the subject of this talk. The interest is further sustained in that his great uncle was killed at Villers Brettoneux on the night of 24th April 1918, on his 19th birthday!! The talk is fully illustrated and Chris hopes it will be an informative and even entertaining afternoon!
