The Essex Yeomanry was the County’s cavalry territorial force, and served gallantly on the Western Front, takingth part in, amongst others, a major cavalry assault on the French village of Monchy Le Preux in 1917. As artillery, the regiment served with distinction in various theatres of operation in World War 2.
Stephen Keoghane published his book of the same title in 2024 and we are pleased to welcome him to our Hatfield Peverel location to present this talk to us.
We meet from 7:30pm, for an 8pm start, in the room off the bar area at he the Hatfield Peverel Village Hall. We request an entrance donation of £3.50. There is free parking on-site and we have access to the bar facilities.
As with all of our talks we welcome all comers, not just members of the Western Front Association
