The British West Indies Regiment in the First World War - Paul Chambers
08 Oct

This talk will tell of the formation and experience of the volunteer force of the British West Indies Regiment that served in the Middle East and on the Western Front. This was a unit that suffered some 1500 fatalities, but their story is little known and certainly deserves to be told.

Paul is the Chair of the British West India Regiments Trust.

We meet from 7:30pm, for an 8pm start, in the Poppy Lounge, upstairs at the Royal British Legion at Hornchurch. We request an entrance donation of £3.50 and we have access to the RBL bar.

There is parking nearby, in Fentiman Way, which is 24-hour pay and display. No cash is taken and there is a machine that accepts card payments right by the entrance.

As with all of our talks we welcome all comers, not just members of the Western Front Association.
