'Football's Great War: Wartime Football in England and Lancashire,1914-1918' with Alex Jackson
02 May

Alex Jackson is the curator at the National Football Museum and is giving his first talk to the branch. Football has sat at the heart of British culture for over 150 years and we know it played a big role on the Western Front. This talk will focus on what was happening with football away from the theatres of war and closer to home.  This is another talk focusing on events during the First World War away from the trenches.
