Our talk, on Monday 19th January, is “Bridging to Victory; Combat Bridging on the Western Front".
Our speaker, Tony Ball, will be we familiar to all our regular attendees but for those who have not had the pleasure of hearing him speak before you are in for a treat. Tony has a wealth of experience and his detailed knowledge of the Western Front in is outstanding.
His book, Crossing No-Mans Land, is an amazingly detailed analysis of how British and Allied infantry actually got to grips with their enemy on the Western Front.
The meeting will take place at our usual venue, the Allotment Social Club, West Allotments and will commence at 7.45 for an 8pm start.
There will be a raffle as usual and entrance to the meeting is by donation of £4.
