Role/Purpose:
The United States Liaison Trustee will represent The Western Front Association (WFA) in matters relating to the Association’s activities in the United States.
Key Function:
As the U.S. Liaison Trustee, he/she will contribute to maintaining the WFA’s footprint and development of activity in the U.S.A., establish contact with other organizations that have an interest in the Great War, represent the association as required and ensure that policies and/or initiatives approved by the executive committee are supported and implemented.
Specific Responsibilities:
The U.S. Liaison Trustee will, where feasible and appropriate:
- Collaborate, individually and collectively, with museums, educational institutions, local history societies, veteran’s associations and other organizations in the United States of America that have an interest in the Great War.
- To actively support projects/strategies for the advancement of the organization.
- Represent The WFA at ceremonial events, conferences, and engagements in America.
- Continuously look for opportunities to advance the membership of the association.
- Liaise with any potential WFA recognized branch in the United States.
