A study of British Second Corps 1914

Speaker: Geof White

A study of British Second Corps 1914. I can send you a short summary in due course. Basically historians generally support that Smith-Dorrien's Second Corps, despite its performances at Mons and Le Cateau was a poorer performing formation compared to other Corps in the BEF and particularly Haig's Fist Corps. My research did turn up some surprising twists and turns however and I arrived at one conclusion which even surprised myself!

Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Any new visitors are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts.
