‘August 1914’ takes a look at the earliest days of the Great War, primarily through the experiences of an Army Service Corps supply column. The story starts as it departs Aldershot for Avonmouth and looks at the difficulties of mobilisation, then the chaos encountered in France up to 31st August.

Members and non-members of the Western-Front Association are equally welcome. Any new visitors are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts.
