Infantry Kit Before and After 1914
Our presenter for the meeting on 14th of October will be Paul Weaver. The British Army had learnt many lessons from the Boer Wars, not least of which was developing uniform and equipment that was suited to a modern battlefield. In this talk Paul will tell how it got to 1914 and how it evolved during the War. Paul always comes prepared to talk with many different examples.
Paul is a very active Branch member and a major figure in the 10th Essex Living History Group, focussed on education about the First World War
This meeting is at The Poppy Lounge of the Royal British Legion, 205 High Street, Hornchurch, RM11 3XT, starting at 8pm.
Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Any new visitors are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts
