The Russian Expeditionary Force in France and Macedonia 1916-1918
Speaker: Sofya Anisimova
In 1916–1917 Russian Empire sent about 40,000 soldiers to fight with the French army in France and Salonika. After the revolution of 1917, the soldiers refused to fight and found themselves trapped in the Western front. This talk explores this not so well-known page of the Entente history.
Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Any new visitors are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts.
