David Lloyd George, The Man Who Won The War
Speaker: Jonathon Rodell
The image above shows Lloyd George in a discussion with Generals Haig and Joffre.
Lloyd George was appointed to the newly-created role of minister of munitions following the Shell Crisis in 1915. In June 1916 he became Minister of War, and Prime Minister on Dec 6th 1916. He was generally in favour of actions away from the Western Front, and pushed for the convoy system against navy opposition.
Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Any new members are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts.
