The Shimmering Blue; Lincolnshire Aviation in World War One

Speaker: Brian Riley
Lincolnshire Aviation

During World War I, Lincolnshire became a massive hub for aircraft production, with firms like Ruston & Proctor building thousands of planes and engines, while its strategic location made it crucial for early airfields, training, and home defence against Zeppelins, with women playing vital roles in factories as "munitionettes"

Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Any new visitors are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts.
