This month the branch will have a new talk presented. The subject is 'Conscription in Britain and the Dominions' and will look at the path to how conscription was secured (or not) in Britain, New Zealand, Canada and Australia. A variety of statistics will illustrate aspects of casualties, recruiting and trends which influenced the need for compulsory service which ran against the liberal tradition in Britain.

All members and guests are welcome to attend. We do ask for a donation of £4.00 on the door to cover room hire, refreshments etc. Doors open c13.40 for a 14.00 start.
