A Lieutenant at Fifteen: the remarkable story of Alfred Davis

Speaker: Paul Harris
Alfred Davis And Others

We are very pleased to welcome back Paul Harris to our October branch meeting.

Paul will be speaking on 'A Lieutenant at Fifteen: the remarkable story of Alfred Davis'. Commissioned at the age of fifteen, Alfred Davis fought at the Battle of Mametz in 1916 and survived the German offensive of March 1918. His story offers a valuable insight into our understanding of underage soldiers and their wartime experiences.

Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Any new visitors are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts.
