Members' Afternoon 2024

Our January meeting wiil be our annual Members' Afternoon when we invite contributions on aspects of current research, artefacts, medals or any other aspect of the Great War. A selection of talks lasting 10-15 minutes will be provided subject to time being available.

This January, the following talks have been offered:

Richard Crompton on an aspect of the OBLI relating to his family

Richard Green speaking about a family member who was a chaplain in the Great War

Colin Ellender on the bridges over the canal at Mons in 1914

Phil Tomaselli on 'An officer but certainly not a gentleman'

Paul Cobb 'A rush to the colours 1914?'

 

 

 

 

All members and guests are invited to attend. Doors open c13.40 for a 14.00 start. We do ask for £4.00 donation on the door to cover room hire etc.
