‘Warneford VC and the Great War Centenary Exhibition Revisited’
27 Apr

NB a week earlier than usual to avoid the Bank Holiday period.

It is ten years since the branch mounted its impressive Great War centenary event when we had a full sized, replica Morane Saulnier (with original radial engine) in the main hall of Highworth Community Centre plus a series of lectures and displays of artefacts.

Our final meeting of our 2024-25 season will be on Sunday, 27th April 2025 (to avoid the usual May date clashing with the Bank Holiday period).

The theme is ‘Warneford VC and the Great War Centenary Exhibition Revisited’. The main part of the meeting will be the talk that James White carefuly drafted and presented - with a few updates. We will not have Rex Warneford's VC here again but we will look back at the exhibition and the events of that busy fortnight.

All members and guests are invited to join us. We do ask for a donation of £4.00 on the door to cover room hire etc.

Our 2025-26 season will commence in September and the WFA website will be populated in due course with details of the talks we have arranged.

We would like to thank all the speakers and members who have supported the branch this season and we look forward to an informative programme in the autumn.
