Our speaker at the November 2024 meeting will be local member David Brown who will share the output of his scholarly work on Tanks at Bullecourt.
The fighting at Bullecourt in 1917 has been explored by various historians with some very good works available but the battles contained controversial elements such as the performance of the tanks. Various myths arose in the years after the war and David's research will explore and dismiss some of those tales.
As ever, all members and guests are invited to attend. Doors opne c13.40. We do ask for a donantion of £4 on the door to cover room hire etc.
