From No Mans Land To Field Hospital
What happens to you if you are severely injured, or wounded in action. The chances are that you will die very quickly if you do not receive medical attention. The only way this is going to happen is, if you are rescued by someone who is going to risk their own lives to come out and pick you up, then take you somewhere for medical assesment and intervention. Todays presentation is going to tell that story. Who comes for you, where they take you for treatment, and where you will end up once you are treated. This is the story of “From No Mans Land to Field Hospital”, and what goes on to get you there. This dangerous but vital journey will be related step by step by our invited guest speaker, Professor Jesica Meyer.
If you would like to attend any of our Monthly Meetings which take place on the first Saturday of each month throughout the year, please come and visit us. You are assured a warm and friendly welcome from our branch members and regular guests. You will also be able to listen to plenty of interesting and informative talks from our invited speaker, usually followed by questions (Q&A), and a lively interaction, on the subject of the day, between our invited guest and our members and guests.Full membership of ‘The Western Front Association’ is completely optional, and not essential, for non member wishing to come to any of our meetings. I would say however, that membership of the WFA is very beneficial to anyone wishing to dig deeper into the military past of family members, or you are wanting to research events in and around the Great War. Also the support available, and the information you can obtain from the current membership and trustees, is both helpful and extensive. Furthermore, both the magazines accompanying membership Bulletin and Stand To! which are regularly sent to members throughout the year, are a great source of article's, information and ideas.
