Here is a grim account of insane carnage on the Peninsula by Digger Craven, whose earlier reminiscences, related to W. S. Blackledge, appeared in Episode 76.

In four days and three nights of fighting 16,000 men were lost.

In this Episode this ANZAC private relates how, in order to save his wounded friends from a horrible death in the blazing scrub, he was compelled to shoot them.
