Major Franklin Lushington, RGA, was born in 23 March 1892 at Davos, Switzerland, the son of the late Sidney George Lushington, BCL. Barrister-at-Law, Inner Temple He was a 2nd Lieut, RGA, from 1913 - 1914. He served in France from 1914-1919. He was OC, 244th Siege Battery, RGA, Captain, 1917, invalided home with trench fever, 28 July 1918, returned in Sept 1918 and took command of 299th Siege Battery, RGA. On 20 Nov 1918 he again took command of 244th Siege Battery, RGA. He retired as Major, RA in 1923 He was the author of The Gambardier.
