By way of contrast, this account of his experiences at Gallipoli is furnished by one who was scarcely more than a boy at the time. Pte. Wilson saw four and a half years' active service with the I/6th Manchester Regt. (T.F.), and when, after eight months' service in Egypt, he landed at Cape Helles in May 1915, one of the first Territorials in the front line, he was barely 18 years old.
